The ReInd-BBG project (Reindustrialization based on the Brownfield is Better than Greenfield) aims to revitalize brownfield locations, specifically old industrial and business facilities, while also aiming to minimize the utilization of open land for the construction of new factories.
Main Objective:
The ReInd-BBG project focuses on “Brownfield is Better than Greenfield” re-industrialisation as an important priority for municipalities in the Danube Region. The main goal of the project is to:
– Strengthen the institutional capacity of public authorities and stakeholders in the Danube Region
– Reduce socio-economic and administrative fragmentation in spatial, economic, and environmental transformation processes
– Demonstrate the benefits of BBG re-industrialisation through territorial examples
– Implement the 4H approach
Implementation period: 30 months (1 January 2024 – 30 June 2026)
